Faith, Family, Community, Coffee
Central Louisiana's favorite mobile coffee experience, serving handcrafted lattes, cold brew, frappes, fruit smoothies, and more. Locally owned by Steve and Cindy Woodham, Bus Stop Brews is built on Faith, Family, Community, and Coffee—bringing fresh, made-to-order beverages and friendly smiles to Alexandria, Pineville, and beyond.

Some stories begin with a business plan. Ours began with a retired school bus, a pastor's joke, and God's perfect timing.
In 2022, Connect Church in Alexandria, Louisiana received an unexpected gift—a retired school bus. It sat quietly on Bayou Rapides Road with no clear purpose until Pastor Grover “Bubba” Warren casually remarked, “Somebody ought to turn that into a coffee shop.”
Everyone laughed. But for Steve and Cindy Woodham, that simple comment planted a seed.
After much prayer and countless conversations, they felt called to do something bigger than serve coffee. They envisioned a place where strangers could become friends, where conversations mattered, and where every cup served would be an opportunity to encourage someone.
Over the next 93 days, Steve and Cindy poured their hearts into transforming an old school bus into something entirely new. They painted, built, wired, and worked tirelessly—turning a forgotten vehicle into a mobile coffee shop with a mission.
When Bus Stop Brews finally opened its doors, it wasn't just serving lattes and cold brew. It was serving people.
Soon, the little coffee bus became a familiar sight around Central Louisiana, especially at The Treasure Chest on Coliseum Boulevard. Customers came for the coffee, but they stayed for the conversation. Friendships were formed. Prayers were shared. Lives were touched.
Because at Bus Stop Brews, we've always believed coffee is simply the beginning.
As word spread, so did the opportunities. Invitations began pouring in from schools, festivals, churches, businesses, and community events across the region. By 2024, it became clear that our little bus—though loved by many—could no longer keep up with the demand.
So, with grateful hearts and an eye toward the future, we made a difficult but exciting decision.
In October 2024, Bus Stop Brews transitioned from its original school bus to a purpose-built coffee trailer. The move allowed us to serve more people, travel farther, and continue growing without losing sight of why we started in the first place.
While the bus may no longer be on the road, its legacy lives on in every cup we serve. It remains a reminder that God often uses the unexpected to accomplish extraordinary things.
Today, Bus Stop Brews continues to travel throughout Central Louisiana with the same mission that began all those years ago:
Serve great coffee. Love people well. Build community—one cup at a time.
And as Steve often says:
"We charge for coffee, but prayer and friendship are always free."
Whether you stop by for your morning latte, frappe, or simply a friendly conversation, you're more than a customer to us—you’re part of the Bus Stop Brews family.
Because some journeys don't begin with a destination.
Sometimes, they begin at a bus stop.
